The Little Things in Life!

Having just returned from a successful trip to the West Coast, I always love the "high" you experience when you sit down in the seat and start to reflect upon what you either learned, validated or discussed on that trip. Take this trip, for instance! I had the good fortune of having my CFO/CEO join me on the trip. Having not had traveled with him in the past on business of this sort (OK, I will tip my hat that my CEO/Strategic Advisor happens to be my father), I found it extremely rewarding to have him involved with a majority of the conversations I engaged in. Upon digesting what we heard and learned, we quickly realized that we are really on to something here at Troy Security. We validated that we have steered this company directly into what we are calling the "Beautiful Storm". It is not the Perfect Storm, since unfortunately, people perished in the Perfect Storm (so I am opting to steer clear of that term).  But the Beautiful Storm is really the convergence of Mobility with IT, while leveraging the benefits of the Cloud.

The mobility space, hands down, is one of the hottest sectors to hit the global economy probably Al Gore invented the Internet!! If you look around a room, all you will see these days are Smartphones and Tablets. Enterprises, small and large, are embracing a fundamental and radical change in the way employees do their job, share information with the employer and leverage the various services available to them through a diverse set of devices. If you have some form of bandwidth connection (3G or Wi-Fi), you can do your job!!

OK, so I am going to stop here, as I realize I am starting to babble (the red-eye from Cali is starting to catch up to me). If you have not subscribed to my Blog, please feel free. This Blog is going to be chock-full of outstanding information regarding mobility trends, mobile security solutions, and the various Cloud Service offerings that are starting to resonate. I welcome you to come along for an interesting journey. Staring in the beginning of April, we will have a multi-part Blog series of Best Practices of designing and implementing a feasible and acceptable Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy.

Here is to Mobility!!
